Here at Augusta First Church of the Nazarene we strive to share the compassion of the Lord with those in need in our community. Currently, we offer a three-part ministry to aid families in need of food. Angel Food:

Manna Truck (Produce Give Away):
On the same Saturday that Angel Food arrives for pickup, we organize a produce give away. People arrive that morning to sign up and receive a number, then at 10:30 a.m. people are served in numerical order from lowest to highest. We recommend everyone brings a basket or box in which to place their produce. We never know in advance what type of produce we will be giving away but it is usually whatever is in season for that time of year.
Effective Jan. 2006, all of these requirements must be met to receive food pantry services at Augusta First Church of the Nazarene.
1. Doors open at 10a.m. each Tuesday. There will be no exceptions to the day or time, regardless of circumstances.
2. Each household may seek assistance from the Augusta First Food Pantry twice a month.
3. Each visit upon entering the church, we ask you to sign in at the table in the foyer. At this time you may also sign up for prayer, if you would like someone to pray with you today.
4. Each person signed in must have proper picture identification such as a driver’s license or military ID card.
5. Each person signed in must have current verification of address. This means the customer must present proof of current address in their individual name and their proper address, such as a current utility bill.
6. Each person signed in must also provide proof of income. This may include a letter of benefits from Social Security, a copy of unemployment checks or check stubs, or proof of unemployment.
7. There must be proof of all children under the age of 18 years residing in the household. Proof would be such items as a birth certificate, a letter from Family and Children’s Services that states the child resides at your address, or a report card with child's address.
8. Due to limited resources, we may need to set a limit on certain food pantry items.
9. Due to time constraints, we will help you walk through and bag your groceries. This will speed things along.
10. We require all children to be accompanied by adults and stay under adult supervision at all times.
11. Please respect church property. No food or drink will be allowed in the church.
12. All customers of the food pantry will need to go through an interview process with a Food Pantry volunteer.
13. Augusta First Church of the Nazarene Food Pantry volunteers reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who comes into our pantry acting disruptively or out of order in any way. Services can be permanently denied. Augusta First Church of the Nazarene reserves the right to serve or deny service to individuals at our discretion.
